Manitoba’s dental hygienists have joined other hygienists across Canada who are self-regulated, says Kristin Carter, president of the Manitoba Dental Hygienists Association.
The MDHA president thanked the province’s legislature for recognizing the profession and supporting its role in preventing oral disease and promoting overall health and wellness.
The Dental Hygienists Act, Bill #5, became law December 8th, 2005.
