SmileMakers Contributes to National Children’s Oral Health Foundation

SmileMakers® is committed to donating 75,000 toothbrushes to National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s ToothFairy/Canada’s ToothFairy (NCOHF). For every unit of Youth Happy Toothbrushes purchased at www.SmileMakersCanada.com/canadas-tooth-fairy.html using the item number: ATFDONATE, SmileMakers will donate one unit to National Children’s Oral Health Foundation.

SmileMakers also donated nearly $30,000 of stickers to the NCOHF: America’s ToothFairy/Canada’s ToothFairy Affiliate Network to encourage positive oral health behaviors. Fifty-eight (58) NCOHF Affiliate oral health programs received these stickers to share with the children and families they serve. The NCOHF Affiliate Network consists of community-based nonprofit programs dedicated to providing the best educational, preventive and restorative services for underserved children in need of care.

“SmileMakers is proud to support NCOHF Affiliate Network and help them meet the growing need for children’s oral health services,” says Julie Quaranta, SmileMakers Market Manager. “We commend the efforts of NCOHF: America’s ToothFairy/Canada’s ToothFairy to ensure at-risk children have a healthy smile.”

“These generous donations from SmileMakers will help the NCOHF Affiliate Network provide undeserved children with tools to practice good oral health behaviors at home,” stated Fern Ingber, NCOHF President and CEO. “Providing at-risk children and their families with the education and resources to prevent childhood tooth decay gives them building blocks they need for happy, healthy futures.”

Formed in the U.S. in 2006, as a collaborative effort of clinicians, academicians and corporate leaders, National Children’s Oral Health Foundation® (NCOHF) is dedicated to eliminating children’s preventable suffering from pediatric dental disease by providing programs and comprehensive resources to deliver community-based critical preventive, educational and treatment services. Recognizing the mouth is the gateway to the body, NCOHF, also known as America’s ToothFairy® in the U.S., supports the delivery of oral health education and care beginning at the prenatal level. Now extending services in Canada as Canada’s ToothFairy, National Children’s Oral Health Foundation is reaching children throughout North America. Through the generosity of dedicated supporters like SmileMakers, NCOHF: America’s ToothFairy/Canada’s ToothFairy has reached millions of children through its national non-profit clinical network and volunteer professional and student community service programs.
