Students demanding action over misogynistic social media posts

Dentistry students at Nova Scotia’s Dalhousie University have come under fire over misogynistic social media posts against women.

The posts to a Facebook group titled the ‘Class of DDS 2015 Gentlemen’, which has since been removed from the social networking site, included some referring to aggressive sex and using chloroform and nitrous oxide on women.

The posts sparked a demonstration outside the Halifax school’s Faculty of Dentistry, with some calling for student expulsions as opposed to the university’s decision to implement a restorative justice process, as reported by CBC News.
