University of Toronto Arbor Awards

On September 12, 2005 the University of Toronto Arbor Awards were presented. The Arbor Award was established in 1989 to recognize the outstanding personal service of alumni volunteers. Recently the award has been expanded to recognize and thank friends of the University who have made generous commitments of time, energy and expertise by serving on University task forces, boards and committees.

At the ceremony on September 12th, a number of volunteers with the Faculty of Dentistry were recognized for their work with the Faculty’s “Awards of Distinction” Gala. The honorees included: Dr. Christena Chruszez; Ms. Donna Maclean of SciCan; Mr. Jim Blair of Scotiabank and Melissa Summerfield, Senior Publisher of Oral Health and Dental Practice Management. It was a lovely event and a wonderful opportunity to recognize the work of these volunteers.
