The Crosstex Sterilization System is a comprehensive system designed to ensure proper sterilization through chemical and biological monitoring. In a clinical evaluation proctored by The Dental Product Shopper, a panel of dentists, hygienists and dental assistants evaluated The Crosstex Sterilization System for qualities such as ease of use, effectiveness and staff satisfaction. The system is comprised of three products, all designed with sterility assurance in mind:
ConFirm® 10 In-Office Biological Monitoring System (Awarded Recommended Product 2014): An in-office biological monitoring test—Confirm 10 is the first sterilizer testing product that delivers results in only ten hours, allowing practitioners to meet CDC biological monitoring requirements in less than half the time required by mail-in testing and other similar products. Clinicians praised the product’s easy-to-read results and efficient design, with one evaluator reporting “the system requires only a small space and an electrical outlet.” Other participants commented on the “comfort factor” in being able to test office sterilizers “in-house” at any time and get results “by the next business day!” 
Sure-Check® Sterilization Pouches (Awarded Best Product 2014): Crosstex is the first company to introduce a one-step pouch sterilization process. This is accomplished by incorporating both internal and external multi-parameter indicators in the pouch itself; no separate multi-parameter strip is required. Steam indicators on the pouch start out light pink, changing to dark brown only when all three sterilization criteria (time, temperature, steam) are met. Clinicians in the evaluation complimented the pouches for their ease of use and the additional peace of mind they provided with respect to sterility assurance. One hygienist identified “the obvious color change [and] clearly visible results” as being a favorite feature. 91% of the participating clinicians said they would definitely or probably purchase and recommend the Sure-Check pouches to colleagues.
STEAMPlus® Class 5 Immediate Read-Out Integrator (Awarded Best Product 2014): Designed as an adjunct to biological spore testing, SteamPlus Integrators help to detect sterilizer failure and can be used while waiting for mail-in or ConFirm® 10 results. Designed for use in gravity, prevacuum and flash cycles, SteamPlus Integrators provide a simple visual indication that the critical sterilization variables have been met, offering immediate and distinct pass/fail results. Clinicians praised the product’s reliability as an additional assurance in infection control as well as the ability to use a method other than pouch indicators to gain “immediate feedback about sterilization conditions” without waiting for results.
In addition to each of the aforementioned products, The Crosstex Sterilization System, as a whole, was separately evaluated by the panel and also earned a Best Product 2014 rating from Dental Product Shopper.
