Versatile Zirconium Oxide to Supplement the All-Ceramic Range

Beside lithium disilicate, monolithic zirconium oxide is one of the most commonly used all-ceramic materials due to its high flexural strength and fracture toughness. Given its robustness, the material allows the fabrication of restorations that have a clearly reduced wall thickness.  This enables a tooth-conserving preparation design. The field of applications of IPS e.max ZirCAD ranges from monolithic and veneered crowns and bridges to implant-supported superstructures.

Maximum efficiency and esthetics
IPS e.max ZirCAD MT Multi is the centrepiece of the system. It is based on a especially designed powder formulation and an innovative shading technology. IPS e.max ZirCAD MT results in restorations that demonstrate a natural progression of shade and translucency from the dentin to the enamel. This allows restorations in A-D shades to be produced efficiently and expeditiously without requiring additional characterization and staining. The resulting crowns and bridges exhibit a natural translucency and shade effect.

Discs and blocks
The discs are available in three levels of translucency (MT, LT, MO) and in a polychromatic MT Multi version. In addition, the LT materials are supplied in blocks in 7 A-D shades and a Bleach shade.

Milling and sintering
The materials have been optimized for processing in the new PrograMill milling units from Ivoclar Vivadent. The milling units combine the requirements of modern dental technology with innovative materials and coordinated processes. They deliver outstanding milling and grinding results. A variety of programs are available for sintering in the Programat S1 1600 furnace, ranging from speed sintering programs to a program that allows IPS e.max ZirCAD restorations to be sintered independently of the level of translucency. These features will enhance the furnace utilization and flexibility in the day-to-day work of dental labs.

All-ceramics extended
IPS e.max lithium disilicate and IPS e.max zirconium oxide offer versatile options. IPS e.max is the only all-ceramic range that brings these two materials together in a single system that allows all indications in fixed prosthetics to be covered with an all-ceramic option.
