Biolux Research to showcase OrthoPulse technology at the 2015 Annual Session of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO)

VANCOUVER, CANADA – Biolux Research, designer and developer of Light Accelerated Orthodontics™ technology and products, is thrilled to be an exhibitor at the 2015 Annual Session of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) for the first time. The event will take place at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, May 15-19. This will be the first major convention for Biolux Research to showcase OrthoPulse™ and Light Accelerated Orthodontics™.

OrthoPulse™ utilizes low level light therapy, or photobiomodulation, to stimulate the periodontium and alveolar bone surrounding the roots of the teeth to significantly increase tooth movement, and dramatically reduce treatment time. OrthoPulse™ patients can also experience less discomfort associated with orthodontic treatment. For use in conjunction with either braces or clear aligners, OrthoPulse™ is a one-size-fits-all soft silicone mouth-guard that patients can use at home or anywhere. OrthoPulse™ is used as an easy self-treatment by the patient for a short 10 minutes per day.  OrthoPulse™ also syncs with an iOS App, allowing both the patient and doctor to monitor and track orthodontic treatment progress at any time and through familiar technology.

OrthoPulse™ is a Class II medical device and has received regulatory approvals in the European Union, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. While this innovative device is not currently available in the United States, the 510(k) submission is currently under review by the FDA.

John Nabors, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing for Biolux Research, notes, “Our entire OrthoPulse™ team is very excited to exhibit at the AAO meeting in San Francisco. We look forward to meeting orthodontists interested in treating patients faster using our game-changing orthodontic device. Whether the patient is being treated with fixed brackets and wires or with clear aligners, OrthoPulse™ offers a solution to orthodontic patients around the world wanting to finish their treatment faster.”

At the AAO Annual Session, Biolux Research will be hosting short, in-booth OrthoPulse™ presentations by a group of prominent orthodontists; the presenter schedule will be announced prior to the event. Please stop by booth No. 2413 to learn more about OrthoPulse™ and Light Accelerated Orthodontics™ and sign up for our mailing list to receive updates on OrthoPulse™ technology.
