Dentsply Sirona World 2022 in Las Vegas inspired over 4500 attendees during the three-day event. DS World featured extraordinary entertainment, industry-leading clinical education courses, and a great networking opportunity for the dental industry. “The energy was electrifying! DS World attendees were treated to performances by the award-winning band Journey, best known for their iconic hit “Don’t Stop Believin’,” and legendary comedian David Spade. A highlight of the weekend was Dr. Farhad Boltchi’s live simulcast implant surgery. Dr. Boltchi repaired a fractured tooth during the live implant surgery using Ossix bone grafting material, a Primeprint 3D printed surgical guide, CEREC Guide 3, for placement of the DS PrimeTaper Implant System, and finally a CEREC-milled temporary restoration – all in one sitting. Over 100 clinical education sessions were attended, focusing on a wide range of topics, which included Digital Workflows, Practice Management, Clear Aligners and more. Sustainability was a new topic to DS World this year, with break out sessions that centered on what sustainability means for dentistry and what actions dentists can take to create a more sustainable business. Dentsply Sirona also launched a Sustainability Educational Curriculum to empower dentists on their sustainability journey.
