Cologne–Preparations for the 33rd IDS (International Dental Show) are in full swing. IDS, the world largest event for the dental industry takes place March 24- 28, 2009 in Cologne, Germany.
Attendees of IDS will be international dentists, dental technicians, dental labs and the dental trade. International suppliers will unveil their latest products and technology from all five continents. New innovations will be featured in an online catalog featuring more than 1,000 products.
The previous event in 2007 attracted 1,742 exhibitors (55 countries), 100,522 visitors (149 countries) as well as 900 media representatives. The organizers expect a strong turnout for next year. Says Dr. Markus Heibach, President of the German Dental Manufacturers (VDDI) “According to surveys, more than 90 percent of our past exhibitors plan to return to IDS in 2009. This high retention rate shows that IDS is the place to be for anybody who is doing business at an international level in the dental community.”
