Oral Health Next Gen

Introducing…NEXT GEN!

NEXT GEN LOGO for dental students, graduates, and those new to the profession

As longtime readers of Oral Health know, it has always been our mission to serve dental professionals and their team members across Canada with the very best editorial content.

Starting out in 1911, under the leadership of Dr. Wallace Secombe, Oral Health was digest-sized, printed in black and white on newsprint type paper and consisted mainly of reprinted abstracts from dental journals around the world. Today, over 112 years later, we produce 12 issues per year, on glossy stock, with full colour and the majority of the content is original to Oral Health.

In addition to our strong clinical coverage, in 2012 we brought our practice management content into the magazine, under the Oral Health Office banner, making it easier for our busy readers to find both the clinical and business management information they need, all in one place.

Now, with our ongoing evolution, we are pleased to announce the launch of our newest section – NEXT GEN! NEXT GEN is dedicated to meeting the information needs of dental students, graduates, and those new to the profession, seeking to help them start out on the best foot possible. We will feature student profiles, financial advice, first person student experiences, tips for networking and using social media, information on study clubs and other educational opportunities, study, travel and life hacks. NEXT GEN will deliver the same level of editorial excellence that Oral Health is known for.

In addition to the NEXT GEN section in each print issue, we will also have a monthly e-newsletter, again geared specifically towards the interests and demands of this targeted group. Make sure to scan the QR code below to sign up for this e-newsletter. We also invite you to share and submit your content – it can be anything from study tips, creating a “killer” resume, best questions or answers for a job interview, to best ramen recipes and dealing with the challenges of dorm or student life. Graduates and alumni, we invite you to share your best memories of dental school, stories about your first job in dentistry or words of wisdom (even if they are not your own).

With the launch of NEXT GEN, we remain committed to continuing our tradition of serving our audiences with top quality editorial content, both in print and digital formats, for all dentists at all stages of their careers. Dentistry is a lifelong commitment to your patients, your teams and to yourself, and Oral Health will be there for you at every step!
