On February 3rd, 2024, TranscenDent 2024 brought together eight teams consisting of Dentistry, Engineering, and Business students from University of Toronto and Western University to showcase the results of their collaborations, addressing some of the hot topics in today’s dentistry.
A selected group of applicants were invited to learn about the themes of this year’s competition and the skills required for presenting their solutions and ideas to a jury of industry veterans. Over three weeks, each of the teams prepared a pitch deck. Some went as far as developing a prototype of their idea and showcasing them in front of the panel of judges, other participants, and a number of social attendees and guests. After thorough deliberations among the panel of judges, three teams were selected for their ingenuity and practicality in their innovations.
