Sunstar Americas announced today that it is introducing GUM Flossers with Control Grip to the professional dental market as a significantly enhanced replacement for its GUM Flossers line. The new line also includes new Comfort Slide flossers, which feature a low-friction floss not previously available from GUM in the professional market.
All GUM Flossers with Control Grip feature a ribbed grip for better control, a longer handle for improved access to posterior teeth, and an ergonomically designed, wider finger rest for greater comfort and maneuverability.
“Our research indicates that patients are more likely to try the new GUM flosser,” said Stacy Ward, Marketing Manager for Sunstar Americas. “That’s great news for dental practices trying to encourage their patients to clean interproximally more regularly.”
Sunstar’s line of GUM Premium Flossers with Control Grip is available in three types: Professional Clean; Advanced Care, which adds Vitamin E and fluoride; and Comfort Slide, with a special floss designed to slide easily between tight teeth. Both Professional Clean and Advanced Care utilize shred-resistant UHMWPE floss, the strongest floss available in a preloaded flosser. Comfort Slide utilizes low-friction PTFE floss for easy access between teeth.
Professional Clean and Advanced Care Flossers are available in 3-pack samples, while Comfort Slide Flossers are available in 2-pack samples. All three types of flossers will be available for order in July.
