Thousands of residents in Windsor-Essex that suffer from mental and oral health issues will receive benefits thanks to the $564,000 funding announcement from Green Shield and the WindsorEssex Community Foundation.
The funding will be divided between four local charities: $200,000 towards the Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor-Essex County Branch, $200,000 towards the Windsor Family Health Team, $100,000 towards the Harrow Health Centre Family Health Team, and $64,000 towards a counselling program at Trans Wellness Ontario.
