The province of British Columbia is investing over $160,000 to eligible residents for training and work experience in preparation for certified dental receptionist jobs.

“This is a new Community and Employer Partnerships (CEP) project from the Government of British Columbia,” reported the B.C. Government. “Participant recruitment is focused on immigrants and youth.”

The training will take place over 13 weeks and include occupational, employability, and on-the-job training with follow-up support.

It is the hope of Discovery Community College and the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction that this project will help reduce unemployment in Nanaimo and provide long-term career opportunities.
