Nova Scotia’s licensing body for dentists is requiring Dalhousie University dental graduates to state whether they are one of the students accused of posting violent and sexual comments about women online.
In 2015, Dalhousie partially suspended 13 dental students after complaints were made against them for making anti-women comments on Facebook.
According to the Toronto Star, Dr. Tom Raddall, chair of the Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia, has said, “Failure to disclose these types of proceedings when applying could result in subsequent disqualification from practice.”
The University has refused to share the names of the suspended students with the regulatory board in order to protect the privacy of their students.
