Dental Surgeons In India To Wear Black Badges Today

Dental surgeons across Haryana will bear black badges from August 13 to 17 in protest against the Finance Department not approving their long-pending demands.

The decision was taken by the state executive committee of the Haryana Civil Dental Surgeons Association (HCDSA) at its meeting held there on Sunday.

The dental surgeons are demanding change in nomenclature of their post to Medical Officer (Dental), creation of a new promotional post of Deputy Civil Surgeon (Dental) at the district level and Deputy Director Dental at the state level, payment of six increments on entry of dental specialist in service on a par with medical officers and payment of special allowance to dental surgeons posted in Mewat.
