Dentsply Sirona World Welcomes More Than 7,000 Dental Professionals to Las Vegas to Connect with the Best in the Industry

From September 14 to 16, 2017, dental professionals and experts from all over the world are meeting at Dentsply Sirona World in Las Vegas. This first-class event organized by Dentsply Sirona offers a unique program combining fascinating presentations, Breakout Sessions on the latest topics and peer discussions, and extraordinary entertainment from world-renowned entertainers such as Will Smith, Jeff Dunham and Imagine Dragons.

A record-breaking number of dental professionals and opinion leaders from the dental industry arrived at this year’s Dentsply Sirona World in Las Vegas eager to experience the Ultimate Dental Meeting. Attendees are looking forward to this comprehensive educational program hosting the industry’s highest caliber speakers. This educational festival comprises 11 tracks: Business & Practice Management, CEREC, Endodontics, Imaging, Implantology, Office Design, Orthodontics, Periodontics & Hygiene, Prosthetics & Lab, Restoration, and Special Markets & Topics. Attendees can customize their experience by attending sessions within one track for a more specialized training or joining sessions within a variety of tracks for a more well-rounded experience.

Digital and integrated workflows
Michael Augins, Group Senior Vice President of Dentsply Sirona’s U.S. Commercial Organization, commenced the event by welcoming 7,000+ attendees. “We are delighted that so many dental professionals, dealers, business partners and practice teams joined us here in Las Vegas for the industry’s greatest educational festival. Dentsply Sirona World is the perfect platform for an exchange of professional ideas and expanding your network. Our aim is to further advance dentistry through better, safer and faster processes, while fueling people’s appetite for new technologies. Just more than a year after the merger, Dentsply Sirona has achieved great success with integrated solutions. Based on intensive cooperation between the different business areas, fully evaluated work processes have been developed for different indications.”

One example of such processes is the endodontics business unit: diagnosis and treatment planning are supported by CBCT-based 3D Endo Software. For the treatment itself, Dentsply Sirona developed an integrated Root-to-Crown—R2C™—solution including innovative file concepts plus concepts for direct and indirect restoration. The practitioner also benefits from the endodontic function integrated into the Teneo and Sinius treatment centers. These are, incidentally, the only treatment centers on the market to feature integrated reciprocal file systems.

To put this concept to the best possible use, integrated CEREC solutions can also be applied. The CAD/CAM system offers dental practices integrated solutions and workflows linking every field of dentistry—from implantology and endodontics to orthodontics, restorative dentistry, prosthetics and imaging—and thus providing whole new, fully evaluated solutions. One innovation this year was the opening of the CEREC system for scan data to be exported in STL format. This means that the digital impression data can now also be used directly in the laboratory with software products from other manufacturers – a flexible expansion of the previous workflow via Sirona Connect and inLab software. This can open up new possibilities for dentists who are gradually digitizing their practices. They can now use CEREC Omnicam scans both in cooperation with their dental laboratory and with other clinical planning software.

Top speakers, top entertainment
Altogether, more than 110 leading experts from the dental industry are contributing to the program, including Drs. Frank Spear, Todd Ehrlich, August de Oliveira, Neal Patel, Arun Garg, Michael Skramstad and Clifford Ruddle. Topics such as integrated implantology and practice management will be discussed during workshops and Breakout Sessions.

Another highlight of Dentsply Sirona World is the appearance by Will Smith. The multiple-Academy Award-nominated actor and Grammy winner, producer and musician will answer questions in an interview emceed by Mark Jeffries this afternoon, sharing his tips for personal success. Afterwards, the event continues with a stand-up set by the celebrated comedian Jeff Dunham. The Grammy-winning band Imagine Dragons will rock the stage at a concert on the evening of September 15.

The final event concluding this remarkable festival is the DentSPY Sirona World: An Evening of Espionage party located at the infamous TAO night club. Guests are encouraged to arrive at this covert soiree in their best black-tie garb or dressed as their favorite secret agent, closing the three-day event with a bang.
