Dental hygienists and therapists may be given new powers to help with the growing dental crisis in Britain. These powers include being able to administer medicine without getting the approval of a dentist first. If this plan is approved, it would free up a lot of time for dentists to focus on other essential services.

These plans are still in discussion and the Department of Health will be publishing a full dental recovery plan soon, reports DailyMail.com.

This response follows a report made by the Health and Social Care committee that called for urgent and real reform for dentistry in the UK.
