The Quebec-based AMD Medicom Inc. (“Medicom”), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of surgical and respiratory face masks, today announced that they had begun production of additional specialty mask types at their new mask manufacturing facility in Montreal. The company has installed 26 production lines to date, allowing it to diversify output and produce different mask constructions to meet additional needs of Canadian governments, healthcare professionals and their patients.
As new production lines continue to be set up to increase local supply of additional types of specialized personal protective equipment for Canadian healthcare professionals, Medicom will continue to develop the SafeMask® Architect™ line. This will allow the company to service government contracts and meet future local needs, starting with a new pediatric and surgical tie-on mask lines.
