The budget and maximum payable amount has increased for Newfoundland and Labrador’s adult denture program, reported CBC News.
The change includes a 20 percent increase from $700,000 to $840,000 and the maximum payable amount increasing from $750 per denture to $900.
The denture program was introduced in January 2012, but the last fee changes happened in 2015. The Denturist Association of Newfoundland and Labrador requested the increase in the budget to “help maintain the sustainability of the program, not only for patients but also for dental professionals and the government.”
