Eastern Ontario dentists are concerned about the increase in tooth decay among their child patient base.

CTV News recently reported on data from Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) Public Health that showed an increase of 60 percent in tooth decay for kindergarten children over the last four years.

Affects from the pandemic are still ongoing as dental visits were missed and oral hygiene routines were disrupted. The cost of living also impacts access to dental visits and healthier lifestyle options.
