Windsor Dentist First Female Chair of National College

Windsor can lay claim to the appointment of the first-ever female chair of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

Dr. Carolyn Mason was appointed board chair at the RCDC’s annual general meeting held virtually Saturday due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s actually pretty exciting,” Mason said Thursday of her appointment to the college that oversees 2,500 dental specialists. “I’ve been with the organization for about 20 years as a female examiner and a councillor and now to be board chair, it’s been ground-breaking.”
