Game On! Davis Orthodontics, Battles children’s brain cancer.

On Saturday, September 26th Davis Orthodontics, will be hosting its 1st ever Kids’ Charity Street Hockey Tournament, a 4-on-4 knockout style tournament geared towards kids 8-16 years of age, with all proceeds from this event going to Tali’s Fund, a non-profit at the Hospital for Sick Kids, which was created in loving memory, of Tali Doron, a 4-year old little girl who lost her battle with a malignant brain tumour.

Davis Orthodontics hopes to turn this into an annual community event that will have something for the entire family, from popcorn and cotton candy, to face painting and bouncing castles. “United”, the York Regional Police Force superhero will also be in attendance, with more surprises to come. Dr. Kevin Davis describes this event as “kids helping kids” and we encourage, parents, hockey coaches and sports enthusiasts to register their children as the event is open to anyone wishing to attend as an individual or a team. If your child wishes to attend there is a $15 registration fee per child which Davis Orthodontics will match, and then donate to Sick Kids.

Brain tumours are the leading cause of cancerous deaths among children age 14 and under. At this time, there is no way to predict or prevent a brain tumour, and the cause of most brain tumours is not fully understood.

Davis Orthodontics is a privately-owned practice which has been creating self-confidence and promoting the success of individuals in the GTA for nearly 50 years with offices in Richmond Hill, Woodbridge, Newmarket, and downtown Toronto (Yorkville).
