NFL Legends Team Up with Pro Player Health Alliance to Spread Awareness to the Public at Long Island Marriott in Uniondale, New York

Super Bowl champions and NFL legends join Pro Player Health Alliance to help spread awareness on the deadly disorder, obstructive sleep apnea, today at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale, New York at 7:00 PM at a free public event.

Super Bowl champions and NFL legends join Pro Player Health Allianceto help spread awareness on the deadly disorder, obstructive sleep apnea, today at the Long Island Marriott in Uniondale, New York at 7:00 PM at a free public event. Taking stage for the last “Tackle Sleep Apnea” event of the year are the likes of Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Famer Nick Lowery, Super Bowl MVP OJ Anderson, Super Bowl Champion Bart Oates, All-Pro Roy Green and Super Bowl Champion Derek Kennard.

By partnering with Dr. Rein and Dr. Seltzer of Long Island Dental Sleep Medicine and Pro Player Health Alliance (PPHA) to get their former teammates on board to improve player health and spreading the word to the public, this all-star team of NFL greats are helping lead the way into a healthier world for everyone.

David Gergen, President of Pro Player Health Alliance, says, “Dr. Rein and Dr. Seltzer are two of the finest dentists I know; I only refer the players I work with to the best doctors in the country. After this event, I want Dr. Rein and Dr. Seltzer to be known as the doctors who treat NFL greats. They will do a great job at the Super Bowl Symposium this year.

Attendees can register at the door. As a fun twist, there will be a free prize giveaway will be held at the end of the event for registered attendees. Approximately one out of every ten people at the event will go home with a signed prize.

About David Gergen
David Gergen, CDT and President of Pro Player Health Alliance, has been a nationally respected dental lab technician for over 25 years. He received the award for “The Finest Orthodontic Technician in the Country” given by Columbus Dental in 1986. He also has been appointed chair of the dental wing of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy, a national interdisciplinary academy dedicated to sleep training and education with over 60,000 members. He has worked for some of the pioneers in the orthodontic and sleep dentistry fields. One of his proudest achievements is receiving The National Leadership award for Arizona Small Businessman of the Year in 2004.

About Dr. Rein
Dr. Jeffrey S. Rein received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1982. Dr. Rein also continued his academic affiliations and served on the faculty at New York University College of Dentistry in both the Katherine S. Milbank Special Patient Care Clinic and the Department of Oral Medicine. He has served as a distinguished committee member in the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. As a member, he actively worked to develop Insurance Reimbursement Guidelines and contributes to manuals used by dental professionals across the nation. With 20 years of clinical experience in Oral Appliance therapy, his expertise has enabled him to help hundreds of patients over the years.

About Dr. Seltzer
Dr. Neal Seltzer received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1982. He is one of the first dentists in the NYC area to treat patients with obstructive sleep apnea & snoring with oral appliances. He has served as a consultant for several area hospital based sleep centers and dozens of private sleep centers over the past 20 years. Utilizing state of the art technology and experience, he is dedicated to helping patients breathe better at night and improve their overall quality of sleep.

About Pro Player Health Alliance
The Pro Player Health Alliance (PPHA) is an organization dedicated to helping former NFL players, through providing testing and treatment options for those who suffer from sleep apnea. In addition, the PPHA is dedicated to integrating education and raising sleep apnea awareness, in a fun and memorable way. In addition to the campaign, the PPHA is dedicated to testing and getting people who suffer from sleep apnea treated.
