151st Annual ADA Session Wraps Up

More than 23,000 dental professionals, including about 6,900 dentists, were kept busy at the ADA Meeting in Orlando, Florida. Attendees included 1000 international attendees form nearly 80 different countries. It was anticipated that they would spend over $20 million dollars during their visits.

There were nearly 250 scientific sessions presented over the course of the four days. The scientific programs included lectures, hands-on workshops and special conference presentations.

The World Marketplace was open from Saturday through Monday provided dental professionals with a great opportunity to view and compare the latest products and services from over 540 exhibitors. Also on the exhibit floor was the ADA’s exclusive Education in the Round (EIR) offering live patient procedures in a fully functional dental operatory.

The 2010 “Distinguished Speaker” series featured author Malcolm Gladwell. The room was full and attendees listened intently to his presentation–a great way to start off the meeting!
