Toronto Academy of Dentistry Ski For Kids

Each year the Toronto Academy of Dentistry takes pride in running Winter Clinic, but during the years runs other events , like Ski For Kids, and this year, on February 1st, the event took place at Alpine, in Collingwood. The purpose of the event is to promote commaraderie, but more importantly to raise funds for the Cleft Lip and Palate at Sick Children’s Hospital.

The day was spectacular, with free bus from the city for those in need, a gourmet breakfast, races, lessons, snow shoeing, wonderful lunch, apres ski. The event was well attended and with live and silent auctions as well as 50/50 draws, we were able to raise over $29,000.00. The event is supported strongly by dental industry, Sinclair, Patterson, Henry Schein, as well as Oral Health, Alpha Omega Fraternity, U of T Dental Alumni, and would not occur without the support of a wonderful committee, most especially Dr.Phil Shedletsky, Dr.Arlene Dagys, Dr.Earl Haltrecht, Jo and Wilf Kenemy, Billy and Dorothy at the Academy, and numerous others.
