Canadian Dental Hygienists Association Responds to ABC’s The Bachelor’s Misrepresentation of the Dental Hygiene Profession

CDHA - logo1The Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA) joins our US counterpart, The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA), in expressing extreme disappointment in ABC Studios and The Bachelor for its recent unprofessional and inaccurate description of the dental hygiene profession in social media posts.

Review the letter issued by CDHA President Donna Scott, RDH, and CDHA CEO Ondina Love, CAE, to the President of ABC Studios.

Serving the profession since 1963, CDHA is the collective national voice of more than 26,800 registered dental hygienists working in Canada, directly representing 17,500 individual members including dental hygienists and students. Dental hygiene is the 6th largest registered health profession in Canada with professionals working in a variety of settings, including independent practice, with people of all ages, addressing issues related to oral health.
