The International Dental Show (IDS) 2023 was a successful event, celebrating its 100th birthday with around 120,000 trade visitors from 160+ countries. IDS takes place every two years and is the leading international trade show for the dental industry, a platform for finding innovation and market trends. This year, attendees learned about dental products and technology from 1,788 exhibiting companies from across 60 countries. There were two clear trends seen at the trade show: the stringent digital workflow and improved sustainability.
“For five days, we experienced an IDS that more than lived up to its claim as a leading international hub. This gives the global dental industry the necessary impetus for the coming months and at the same time underlines the global attraction of IDS. The event’s outcome is all the more remarkable given the current challenging geopolitical environment,” said Oliver Frese, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse.
A visitor survey assessment for IDS 2023 found over 80 percent were very satisfied with the event and almost 90 percent would recommend IDS to their business partners. For those interested in attending virtually, it’s good to know that 84 percent of the respondents were satisfied with the digital platform IDSconnect and the associated offers.
